Snap Dragons
Snap Dragons are the best documented of East Anglia’s Beasts. Their history reaches back through Norwich pageantry and older traditions of protective dragon-making, surviving long after the true dragons themselves disappeared. Modern Snaps vary enormously in colour, material and temperament.
Some remain close to the character of the places in which they are formed, while wandering Snaps have been recorded imprinting upon landscapes, weather and other objects, sometimes developing extraordinary characteristics of their own.
Whatever form they take, they remain guardians first: small remnants of a much older relationship between people and dragons.
