What is Known
Dragonfly is unique, as far as we know, with wings that shimmer in the light and its eyes resembling those of a common household fly. Unlike the small insects it takes its likeness from, Dragonfly is far larger but just as delicate.
Back in 2025, when it was first recorded, all Grade II Hunters were given clues to three sacred sites in the south of Norfolk. At these sites, near the graves of people named after birds, Dragonfly left a riddle for a key. The key could be found in a local village shop, which the owners of the Castle of Old Buckingham had entrusted to them. This key opened the gate to the grounds, and anyone could claim it. But only those Grade II Hunters had the knowledge of what resided in the area.
Dragonfly was not alone, for two Bushsnarks had also entered the halo field and sought out the hunters as well. One was in the castle walls, while the other was within a twig prison in a castle of trees. Dragonfly had taken to hiding in a tree on the bank of the grounds. Hidden in the nook of the roots, it had covered itself with some fallen bark, shutting itself off from the light. The bark door was pried away by the hunter, and Dragonfly was secured, saved from the Snark ambush that had followed it.
With the knowledge of its location, we can identify that Dragonfly, while an Emerald Veil due to its small population, is part of the Wild Aspect. No paths took the hunter to the sites that day, only whispers on the wind which took them to the furthest reaches of Norfolk.
