Hikey Sprites are the smaller forms of the Hikey folk, less imposing than mature clan members but already displaying their characteristic curiosity and watchfulness.

Their colours, coverings and behaviour often hint at the clan or landscape with which they will eventually become associated. Like mature Hikeys, they favour the margins of the human world and are more likely to observe than approach.

Their small effigies are traditionally treated as welcoming forms: a place prepared for a wandering Hikey to linger, watch and perhaps quietly decide that those living nearby are worth keeping an eye on
