Cernunnos is the Celtic god of nature, fertility and wild animals, often depicted with antlers. He is the protector of the wilds and the guide between worlds. On a cool January morning, he ventured into the woods of Mousehold, followed by his entourage of wild animals.

Owl was found hidden inside the roots of a great tree, not too far from the bandstand. He hid himself beneath the tree, with his wings tucked neatly under his chin as he waited and watched the hunters pass by.

The mud and snow laid thick on the ground as the hunters waded through the trees, paths and golf course. Owl knew nothing of this while he waited in his perch, watching the children playing on the field before him. It was a simple day, with the wind blowing through the leaves and ruffling his feathers. What a wonderful time of year it was.
