In October 2025, the Guild learned of a territory dispute unfolding in Norwich. Then, on Halloween, when the veil between our world and the darkness beyond was thin enough for things to slip through, five Frankie Snaplings appeared, each claiming a foothold within the city.
A call went out across the Guild & hunters took to the streets. One by one, they tracked down & carefully removed the Frankies, restoring balance to the city once more
Or so it seemed.

For within the Guild there were whispers that there was another.
This Frankie had chosen not to hide. Instead, it lingered in the shadows, waiting for the right moment when it could finally reveal itself.

That moment came in the summer of 2026; it had chosen the Beastly Trading Post—already home to an array of strange Beasts—as the place to emerge. There, it waited to be claimed by those brave enough to seek it out.

The Frankies came to be known as 'Scraplings', named for their distinctive patchwork appearance and strange stitchings that hold their fragmented forms together, each one carrying the marks of the stories that created them.
Some within the Guild believe the sixth Frankie was different from the very beginning. Unlike the others, it bears markings never seen before & when darkness falls, those markings begin to emit a strange, otherworldly glow.

Perhaps there is magic hidden in those fragments
Or perhaps those fragments came from a place they were never meant to be.
Whatever the truth, one thing is certain,
nobody is sure where the Frankies came from,
and perhaps that is for the best
