It's well known within the guild that snaps and snaplings imprint on many different things, which ultimately decide their scales. It's not so uncommon for a Snapling to imprint on an older snap, taking in their form in their own way. This is what has happened here with Dragonlarvae, having admired Dragonfly from afar, he too took on a darkened body and sparkly wings, though they are still patchy for now. It is speculated that his wings will fully transform into the shimmering nets that Dragonfly possesses as he ages into a Snapdragon.

Dragonfly Larvae kept himself hidden from the Guild until the Black Shuck Festival of Bungay in 2025. Being that he is smaller than the common fly, he was able to squeeze himself into one of the chests that the Keepers brought with them. His hiding spot was not concealed for long, however, as shortly after the event started, the lid was lifted from the chest and he was found.He did not come as a shock to the Guild though; instead, he came as a pleasant surprise, as no one knew that he had imprinted on the mysterious Snap. He tried to shrink and force himself to hide in the chest behind the other Snaps who had ridden in it, but he was scooped up.

Do not fret for Dragonlarvae, though, as he was reunited with his idol. The hunter who saw him just so happened to be the same one who had recovered Dragonfly themself, so it seemed only fitting that Dragonlarvae should join them at home. Now, they can be found flying around the garden or the living room. Bush Snarks are a usual predator for Snaplings, but he has since discovered felines, who seem to also have a preference for his erratic flying. After the first few bops of their paws, he and Dragonfly try to stay out of reach, resting on door frames and enjoying one another's company.
